- 📏Maximum size: 392 × 542 mm (15.4 × 21.3 in)
※ Minor size variations are acceptable. Framed works are not accepted. The thickness of the artwork must be within 10 mm.
Terms and Conditions
- ✍️Original hand-drawn work only. All works must be drawn by the applicant and must be previously unpublished.
- 📦Illustrations are not returnable.
- 🚫Digital/AI-generated works are NOT eligible.

- •Once an illustration has been submitted, no alterations will be accepted.
- •Digital works using computer graphics and works using generated AI are not eligible. All entries must be the original hand-drawn work of the applicant.
- •Award selection will be done on a confidential basis and subject to the judges’ discretion.
- •Please note that submitting the same or significantly similar illustrations to other contests is prohibited.
- •Publishing illustrations on other websites is forbidden except with the express written permission of Yamada Bee Company (the organizers) and Asahi Gakusei Shimbun Company.
- •The organizers and co-organizers shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage occurring during shipment.
- •Full copyright and usage rights of the submitted artwork shall be transferred to the organizers. Furthermore, the applicant agrees not to exercise their moral rights against the organizers.
- •Illustrations may be used, free-of-charge, by the organizers for the purposes of publicity, packaging and publication.
- •Any illustrations that infringe on any valid third party rights will not be considered in the contest. Yamada Apiary will not be held responsible in the unlikely event that an entrant is held liable for copyright or other rights infringement. It is the responsibility of the applicant to deal with this matter.
- •All entry regulations, performance and consideration will be based on Japanese law.
How to Apply
Option 1: Submission by Mail (Recommended)
We recommend submitting the original artwork by mail to best preserve its colors and details for the judging process.

- Fill out the "Individual Application Form".

- Paste the form on the reverse side of your illustration.
- Once completed, mail your artwork to the address shown below.
👥 For Groups (Schools, Art Classes, etc.)
- Submit ONE copy of "Group Application Form" (Page 1) per organization.
- Attach ONE "Group Entry Label" (Page 2) to the back of each artwork.
